Romantic Love and Divine Love

ROMANTIC LOVE : I'll love you as long as you love me back.
DIVINE LOVE : I'll love you even if you don't love me back.

Romantic love is based on affinity for the other person. If the other person should change and become a different person, which everyone is likely to do, then the affinity may no longer exist, and the love ends.

Divine love is based on existence. I love you eternally because what I love about you cannot change, it is your true self. I have no choice but to love you, because this love is part of who I am, and not a result of the will-to-love in action. Since this love is part of who I am, then you are part of who I am, and I am part of you.

Romantic love is 'heart-to-heart'. Divine love is 'heart-is-heart'.

What is in Your Heart is What You Will Find in God

So, you want to find God? Which God do you seek? The God beyond time and space, or the God that is everywhere and in all things? The God of judgment and punishment, or the God of love and mercy? Do you seek many Gods or just one God? The God who sets the universe in motion and then takes a lunch break, or the God who pulls the strings behind historical events? The God of art and beauty or the God of intellect and intelligence? The God of law and order or the God of goodness and oneness? The God who listens to prayer or the God who doesn't give a shit about you? Or the God who is dead and the God who never existed? Which do you seek?

You can find all of these Gods and more - they can all be found, even the God who doesn't exist can be found. You set out on your journey from where you begin right now. What you find in the end only takes you back to the beginning, the place where you started. What do you find in your heart? Only what is there right now. Change what is in your heart, and you will find a different God.

Activation of Divine Love - Thou Art Wonderful for All Eternity My Lord

In this video I will guide you through an activation of divine love. We begin by considering Jesus' statement in Matthew 22 that the greatest commandment in the law is that "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind", and the second greatest is "you shall love your neighbor as yourself." The activation is based on the Hebrew sacred mantra "Atah Gibor LeOlam Adoni" which means "Thou art wonderful for all eternity my Lord." We will intone the acronym form AGLA to activate the heart chakra.
